Red and White at mid-summer.

The dramatic beauty of this project is rooted in the spontaneity of the design. The red rose was chosen only for its height and its color but appeared spindly and lonely when in bloom. By adding a lush white perennial to grow in the background, we turned a gawky teenager into a gracious adult. This composition, done several years ago, is an example of the longevity of the flowering plants in my repertoire
