Once established, these flowering perennials will take your breath away and their visual energy will make you smile. We specialize in low maintenance plants compatible with Montreal’s climate. No winter protection is required. Also, we design and arrange outdoor flower pots and urns using exotic and dramatic flowering plants.
Allan Becker designed and planted his first perennial garden when he was in his teens. He’s been designing ever since. A retired executive from the soft goods industry, he has worked in textile design, styling, graphic design, market research, product development and marketing for home furnishings and apparel.
Now he has turned his passion for gardening into a second career as a garden designer, consultant and garden coach for clients in Montreal, who dream about colorful English-style gardens full of flowering perennials, roses, flowering vines and flowering shrubs.
After earning a B.A. from McGill University, Allan enhanced his studies with courses in Design in the Fine Arts Department at Sir George Williams College [now Concordia University]. He and his wife, Hessa, an adult educator, live in the Montreal suburb of Cote Saint-Luc and travel regularly to Toronto and Boston to visit their children and grandchildren.
In keeping with the dedicated, personalized service he provides, he carefully vets his summer staff to ensure they are respectful of his clients, their property and their needs.
